Swarm the board with the Floral Fencer evo. Swordcraft with the cards in the game should be a very aggressive class. If you can both only play 1-2 units a turn, all the extra units you had on the board can go for HP.

Taking many of these types of free trades allows you to grind your opponent out of options, and then you can start going for their HP. When evolved, you can deal 3 to an enemy, which most likely kills it on turn 4-5, and then you can choose which enemy to attack for 5, most likely a weaker unit, giving you 2 "free" trades. The 4m 3/4 dragon is the most basic example of this. Evolving helps with this as you get to play a minion AND choose its target. If you already have a 3/3 on board, your opponent has a hard time playing 2/3s because you get to kill it "for free", giving you card advantage. I'd say in general, having board control is the #1 most important thing, because it allows you to dictate which followers can attack which targets most advantageously.

I love the actual CCG, but didn't end up picking this up. There's a demo on the eShop too, I recommend it highly to try it ou, I think you'll get an idea immediately if you'll like this game! Hopefully a veteran can help me out here! I prefer Swordcraft decks right and Dragoncraft but right now I just can't beat any of the A rank (and some B rank) NPCs in the open world after getting into chapter 6 fairly easily. For example, I still don't know what kind of decks counter what others, and what "Control, Aggro, Combo" mean when they describe your deck. I think I finally need to really really learn the game. I've had no real problems getting this far but now I am getting ROLLED by the AI opponents and I don't know where I'm going wrong. I'm currently STUCK in Chapter 6 of the game (going for the Gold Cup). I know that "Shadowverse" has been around a long time on PC/Mobile and there's still a lot I don't understand about the game. This game is basically a well well high production/budget form of a CCG that operates a bit like Persona, you go through your days battling other people in your school doing dumb side missions and increasing your "social links" to get rewards. (I admit I also don't play those card games either!).

It's basically anime-Hearthstone (which I don't play only but once or twice) with a YuiGuOh/Pokemon vibe. It's one of my favorite games of the year. This game released this year in August to zero fanfare (not even an OT!)
